Having organized two trainings, with a total of 245 delegates who all left for the United Kingdom for different programs, the last set of delegates, known as The Stunners, started another unique program (in this case JAMB focused) on February, 2014 with a total of 280 delegates for three and the half months.
To achieve the much desired success of the strategy for the JAMB training, we partnered with matured and very experienced JAMB teachers to tutor them in all JAMB Subjects. The JAMB Curriculum categorized subjects into Sciences, Arts and Commercial for which delegates would take at least 4 subjects each. We guided them in their career choices and subjects according to passion or aspirations. Our daily classes engaged delegates for 90 minutes for each subject. In addition with constant revision on past questions, quiz competition and mock rehearsals.
Secondly, delegates were allowed to register for Paper Based Test (PBT) or Computer Based Test (CBT). With the CBT, they are expected to do the examination online and the results pops up immediately after. For this reason, it is critical for them to understand the basics in Information Technology. Besides our regular IT training for delegates, we went further to install specialized software in their laptops for online Mock Rehearsals.
Furthermore, tapping into our niche, Life Skills, we embraced a host of other courses to reorient their minds in order to truly “give Birth to Kingsâ€. We had observed that most of the delegates come from remote areas where there are limitations to infrastructure that denied them access to better life and higher aspiration. Skills and Talents are important but character is what sustains them for lasting success. Therefore, we incorporated in our curriculum, Counselling and Daily Life Skills presented by various resource persons, including Career Talk, Goal Setting, Professional Ethics, Character Traits, Image Building, Sex Education, Hygiene, Money Talk, Anger and Time Management as well as Phone and Table Etiquette. Even leisure and social activities (like taking them to the cinema) dance and sports gave them a warmth and exciting feeling while learning. Lastly, we conducted Information Technology classes with certification
